New Containers in European Depots, Ready to Release

Every unit on this list is a new-build container that made one cargo-carrying voyage from the factory to Europe and was then released for sale at the depot. Structurally new, CSC-plated, original factory paint, with the light handling marks a single loading and unloading can leave. The manufacture year is stated on your quotation.

Both. Units can go straight into export service as shipper-owned containers (SOC) or stay in Europe for storage, conversion or domestic transport. We supply the container; customs formalities are not part of the sale. If a unit is going to remain in the EU or the UK, your forwarder or customs agent handles the import declaration and any VAT due. If it is leaving on a vessel as a shipper-owned container, no import step is normally needed.

The price shown is the per-unit price ex-depot in US dollars, excluding VAT, duties and any customs formalities, and it holds until the next list update. Your quotation restates it in writing together with the service fee and, if you want it, haulage to your site.

A gate-buy unit is still on the vessel or has just been discharged. You take it at the terminal gate on the arrival date shown instead of after it has been lifted into a depot, which is why it is the sharpest price on the list. It suits buyers who can collect on the day or who will load the container straight away.

Units marked In depot normally release within days of cleared payment. Arriving units release once the depot has received and checked them, and your quotation states the expected date. Gate-buy units release on the vessel ETA.

You receive an invoice from Silknet Hong Kong Limited and pay to a corporate account. Depot units are released against cleared funds. As with any container purchase, check that the beneficiary name matches the company on your paperwork before sending funds, and confirm any change of bank instructions by phone with a contact you already have.

Units release for self-collection by your trucks at the named port or inland depot. Where you want it, we quote haulage to your site as a separate line so you can compare it with your own carrier.

The depot network covers Europe as a whole, not only the EU. The customs position differs by country: units collected in the UK, Switzerland or Georgia are outside the EU customs union, which matters for anyone moving a unit across those borders. Your customs agent will confirm the right treatment for your route.
